John Baughman formed Marshwood Studios Inc. in the late 1980’s with his wife, Janet. They divide their time between raising horses and working in their studio on their small farm in Western Michigan. Oils play an important role in his art, but Baughman is continually experimenting with new mediums. He is still an “out of the lines” painter, and feels that artists must be willing to take risks. An innate sense of arrangement and space, plus his diverse use of the color palette, allows his work to constantly change. Baughman’s current work has been widely exhibited and included in private and corporate collections worldwide.
