  Goli Mahalatti

Goli Mahallati’s original acrylics on canvas often depict aspects of humanity. Her images of individuals alone or in communal groups are stirring. The artist chooses to work with palette knives creating bold areas of color and texture. Through a simple and laconic depiction of a form, she opens doors into volumes of thoughts and sensations. Goli’s paintings are in a zone where reality and dream, color and form are suspended.

Goli graduated with a bachelors degree from the University of Tehran in 1977 and with her Masters from the American College in Massachusetts in 1979. She now resides in Southern California and continues to paint daily. The artist is able to touch our inner feelings through the truth of her images. Hers is a work of kinship and admiration for the beauty and dignity of the ideal human spirit and form.
